Whilst every care and precaution is taken, grooming involves working with live animals and the use of sharp equipment. Although incidents are rare, there is an inherent risk of accidental injury.

 

In the event of an accident, you will be notified as soon as possible. If immediate veterinary attention is required and you cannot be contacted, we reserve the right to seek treatment without prior consent.

 

By agreeing to these terms, you accept full responsibility for any veterinary fees incurred as a result of an injury or emergency during the grooming process, except in cases of proven negligence.

 

Your pet’s welfare is our highest priority. If your dog’s coat is matted, we may recommend shaving rather than de-matting, as de-matting can cause significant discomfort, stress, and potential harm to the skin.

 

We will always attempt to contact you to obtain consent before proceeding with a shorter clip.

 

•Severely matted coats increase the risk of cuts, skin irritation, and clipper rash.

•Pre-existing skin conditions may be revealed during grooming.

•The grooming process may take additional time, and an extra charge will apply for heavily matted coats.

 

Owners must inform the groomer prior to the appointment of any behavioural concerns, including aggression, anxiety, or a history of biting.

 

•Appropriate handling methods, including the use of a muzzle, may be used where necessary.

•We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a grooming session at any time if a dog’s behaviour poses a risk to itself or the groomer.

 

If a session is stopped due to aggressive or distressed behaviour, full or partial charges will apply for work already carried out.

 

We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.

•A £15 deposit is required to secure your first appointment. (Not required for nail only appointments)

•Deposits can be paid via bank transfer or cash.

•Deposits are non-refundable if an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice.

•The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your grooming service.

 

If you arrive late, the appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled, and the full appointment fee may still apply.

 

Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in the loss of your deposit, and future bookings may require full payment in advance.

All prices are based on your dog’s size, coat condition, temperament, and the time required to complete the groom.

 

Additional charges may apply for:

•Severely matted coats

•Flea infestations (to cover cleaning and sanitation)

•Difficult or aggressive behaviour

•Extra time required beyond the standard appointment

 

Full payment is required upon collection of your pet.

 

We may occasionally take photographs or videos of your pet for use on our social media platforms and promotional materials.

 

If you do not wish for your pet’s images to be used, please inform us at the time of drop-off.

 

Your personal information will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties, except where necessary.

 

In the event of an emergency requiring veterinary treatment, you consent to Canine Cuts by Kelly sharing relevant information with a veterinary professional to ensure the health and safety of your pet. We will always attempt to contact you first using the details provided.

 

By providing your contact details, you consent to Canine Cuts by Kelly using this information to communicate with you regarding appointments, services, and important updates.

 

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version will always apply and be available upon request.
